So before you ask a question on this forum, you best skim this thread and make sure your question has not been asked before.

General Questions
How do I get my button on the header?
First make a 133x48 button, sizing must be exact. Next link us back in a similar spotlight fashion. You can find out how to do so by clicking here. Next fill out that form and reply to that thread. Make sure the button url is one we can direct link. If the link is broken or an error image comes up, we will take it down.
How do I make a button?
If your unsure how to work a graphics program, you can ask for help on this forum. You can also ask someone for a favor or "employ" someone and offer them something in return for their service.
Anything to know about advertising?
First, you should have your links added to the directory. Located Here. Next you may use the advertising forum as needed to post ads for anything really. For obvious reasons, keep the ading PG13! Finally, if you advertise excessively on the forum but don't link back- you may find your ads deleted! Be sure to link back to us, just once is enough for free lifetime advertisement!
Also, advertising on any other forum is offensive and takes away from the atmosphere of this forum. There is a whole forum for it, please keep it where it belongs.

Sales & Auctions
If my HF horse gets sold to an All-Sim player, what next?
This is an all-sim forum, it is affiliated with HF, but a lot of things are run very differently. You MUST MUST MUST export your horse before you even think about advertising it for sale here. It would work the same with any other all sim forum.
If I play HF and I buy a horse currently in all-sim, what next?
Before you plan on importing all-sim horses, you must make sure you have enough credits, time, and resources to bring the horse into HF. That said, all you would have to do is register the horse, like any other imported horse.
What is a "condition free" sale?
Condition free means the horse being sold has no contract on it. There should be no conditions associated with the sale. I.E. If a person is selling in the Condition Free board, there should not be buy backs, trade onlys, or any contract whatsoever. The owner has no right to dictate the future of the horse, with the exception of choosing an owner and price.
What's there to know about auctions?
Not much. Auctions run pretty typical here as they would anywhere else. This forum does not control the minimum raise, though. The auction holder controls bid format, minimum raise, length of auction.. Although an auction may not exceed two weeks. View the auction rules for information on holding an auction.

Showing & Racing
How do show results work with horses imported to HF?
Show Results and HF Points MAY count in HF. The only shows that may count for HF Points are those approved by an administrator on this forum. Records earned on this forum must be kept separate from an HF record. HF Points also run on a smaller scale.
What are the HF Points awarded at an approved show?
For Shows
For Races
The Point system is doubled.
What about show results for horses already in HF?
Again, the only all-sim results that count for any HF horses are the ones found on this forum. HOWEVER, because HF horses now have access to two show circuits, owners must be very cautious of OVERSHOWING. It will not be tolerated on a show by show basis or a shows per month basis. Horses should not be entering more than 4 to 6 shows a month, and major events should have a resting period of at least 3 days before and after the show, regardless of where the show is being held. Realistically, Racers should not be raced more than once a month.. but no more than 3 times a month for the sake of sim.
Posting Results
Show results must be posted within two-three weeks of the entries closing date. People who are consistantly late with results will be suspended from shows and ultimately (if it has to come down to it, and at the discretion of the officers) banned from the forum.
